The relationship between doctors and patients becomes a public hot topic recently, which becomes more prominent during the reforming and transition of the health care system. The emergence of evidence-based medicine corresponds to the requirement of the clinical practice brought by the transition of the health care system. It will play an important role in improving the relationship between doctors and patients. The promotion of evidence-based practice will be helpful to alleviate the conflict between doctors and patients and to increase the quality of health care.
Objective To investigate the value of back propagation (BP) neural network for recognizing gastric cancer cell. Methods A total of 510 cells was selected from 308 patients. There were 210 gastric adenocarcinoma cells and 300 non-cancer gastric cells. Ten morphological parameters were measured for each cell. These data were randomly divided into two groups: training dataset (A) and test dataset (B). A three-layer BP neural network was built and trained by using dataset A. The network was then tested with dataset A and B.Results For data A, the sensitivity of network was 99%, specificity 99%, positive predictive value 98%, negative predictive value 99%, and accuracy 99%. For data B, the sensitivity of network was 99%, specificity 97%, positive predictive value 96%, negative predictive value 99%, the accuracy 98%. With receiver operator characteristic (ROC) curve evaluation, the area under ROC curve was 0.99.Conclusion The model based on BP neural network is very effective. A BP neural network can be used for effectively recognizing gastric cancer cell.
Objective To be expressed human vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) recombinant protein in Escherichia Coli in high level. Methods VEGF was amplified from human fetal brain cDNA library, the amplified fragment was inserted into M13mP18 and confirmed to be VEGF165cDNA by restriction mapping and DNA sequencing, then it was combined with an expression vector PRL621. This recombinant plasmid overexpressed a 20kd recombinant protein in E.Coli(TG1), the protein was isolated and purifed from E.Coli, and initially renatured. Results The overexpressed recombinant protein was 35% of the total cell protein, the sequence of its first 15-N terminal amino acid was identrical to that of the human natural VEGF protein, Chorioallantoic membrane(CAM) assay showed that the rhVEGF promated new capillary vessels formation. Conclusion The genetic engineering Escherichia Coli can express human vascular endothelial growth factor in high level.
Social prescription is a medical model in which social resources are integrated to provide personalized support to targeted population. It can improve health outcomes and reduce the pressure on health system by addressing social determinants of health. It is a new trend of global health. This paper introduces social prescribing’s definition, history, components, global development, effectiveness, existing problems, and practice in China, analyzes the common and individual issues faced by social prescription in development, and puts forward the opportunities for integrating traditional Chinese medicine into social prescribing in China, aiming better to realize the "Healthy China 2030" strategy.
