Blockchain is a modern technological model for concatenating transaction records (also called blocks) by means of cryptography to concatenate and protect the contents. The core of blockchain technology lies in the demand of reducing cost, improving efficiency and optimizing the industry credit environment. The role of blockchain is mainly manifested in the value increment brought by application in industrial scenarios. This paper introduces the application of blockchain technology in medical records information preservation and sharing, regional medical complex construction, protection of sensitive information of patients, improvement of industry transparency, drug authenticity tracing, improvement of medical work mode, and effective improvement of medical cost safety accounting efficiency and discusses the existing problems in the application of blockchain technology in medical care industry, aiming to provide a reference for better application of blockchain technology in medical care industry in the future.
Fleming proposed the concept of evidence-based pathology (EBP) in 1996. In recent years, there have been a lot of evidence-based studies on the diagnosis and prognosis of diseases. However, there are still limitations and challenges in the development, and the growth in application of evidence-based medicine in the pathology is still slow. This study introduced the history of evidence-based pathology, summarized the primary application areas and the latest research progress, analyzed current opportunities and challenges of evidence-based pathology, and provided some suggestions.
In order to further promote the construction of healthy Tibet, West China Hospital of Sichuan University, which has rich experience in providing assistance to Tibetan areas, has proposed a new model of “136” assistance to Tibet. In this new model, the demand of the assisted hospital is the center. Technology, talent and management as three core elements are starting point. Six special topics were taken as the dimensions, including specialist capacity building, technology popularization, establishment of chronic disease prevention and treatment system, appropriate talent training, hospital management training and model effect evaluation. This paper introduces the structural framework of the model and its application in Tibetan hospitals. It also puts forward the problems existing in the work of assisting Tibet and gives relevant suggestions, aiming to provide a reference for the improvement and perfection of medical aid work in Tibet.
Objective To observe the clinical effect of the human tissue engineered activeskin (ActivSkin) with full thickness on the donor site of the split thickness skin graft. Methods Nine patients with 18 wounds of the donor sites, and every p atient had 2 wounds. The wounds of each patient were randomly assigned to the therapy group and the control group. Autocontrol observation was performed. Nine donor sites of the split thickness skin graft were repaired with ActivSkin in the therapy group. Nine donor sites of the split thickness skin graft were repaired with the vash oil gauze in the control group. The wound pain, the time to complete closure, and the ratio of the complete healing in the ActivSkin therapy gro up was measured and compared with those in the control group. The donor sites of the split thickness skin graft were assessed at 180 days of the follow-up visit . Results The wound pain was obviously reduced after the harvest ing of the skin grafts in the therapy group. The time to complete closure on the donor sites of the split thickness skin graft was significantly shorter in the ActivSkin therap y group than in the control group (9.67±2.92 d vs.16.56±2.96 d, Plt;0.05 ). Both the ratios of the complete healing in the ActivSkin therapy group and the control group were 100%(Pgt;0.05). The subsequent results showed that neit her the blister nor the residual wound occurred with an alleviated scar after the Ac tivSkin treatment. Conclusion ActivSkin can promote wound closure, prevent blister and residual wound, and alleviate scarring on the donor sites of the splitthickness skin graft after the ActivSkin treatment.
Objective To summarize the application and prospect of susceptibility weighted imaging (SWI) in diagnosis of hepatic disease. Methods The application of SWI in diagnosis of hepatic disease was analyzed retrospectively via reviewed the literatures home and abroad, and to look forward to the future of the clinical values of SWI. Results A number of hepatic diseases such as cirrhosis, hematochromatosis, and malignant tumors could induce iron overload in hepatic cell and Kuffper cell. Because of SWI is sensitive to vein, vascular abnormality, haemorrhage (including all kinds of metabolities after bleeding), iron overload, calcification, and so on, so the use of SWI in hepatic disease is explored continually. Conclusions SWI may be a new method for diagnosis of hepatic disease, which can supply more valuable information for clinician.
Objective To introduce the appropriate application of statistical analysis method in medical science and technology articles. Methods Expatiated the correct application of statistical theories in statistical package, statistical analysis methods and test criterion which compose the basic statistical content in an article. Results If the distribution of numerical variable is normal, mean and standard deviance can be used to describe this variable. In the same way, t test and analysis of variance (ANOVA) can be used to test the difference of mean in each group. If it is not normal, median and range can be used to describe the variable and rank sum test can be used to test the difference of distribution in each group. Categorical variable can be described by rate, proportion and ratio. There are chi-square test, fisher’s exact test and ranksum test to test the difference of rates. Conclusion It is the key of choosing rational statistical methods to distinguish the type of design and variable.
The Core Outcome Set-STAndards for Reporting (COS-STAR) is a latest guide tool made by Core Outcome Measures in Effectiveness Trials (COMET) group. It can enhance the transparency and completeness of Core Outcome Set (COS) report. This paper introduces the generation process, report items and application of COS-STAR to provide reference for domestic similar researches.
Objective To introduce the application of polymer material, chitosan, in the cartilage tissue engineering. Methods The recent original articleson the application of chitosan in cartilage tissue engineering were extensivelyreviewed. The biocompatibility and biodegradation characters of chitosan and its application were analysed. Results Chitosan has a high degree of biocompatibility and a favorable chondrogenic characteristic. It can support the maintenance of the phenotypic morphology of chondrocytes besides being used as a scaffold for cell growth. Conclusion The perspect of the application of chitosan in cartilage tissue engineering is hopeful.
Objective To describe the design and application of an emergency response mobile phone-based information system for infectious disease reporting. Methods Software engineering and business modeling were used to design and develope the emergency response mobile phone-based information system for infectious disease reporting. Results Seven days after the initiation of the reporting system, the reporting rate in the earthquake zone reached the level of the same period in 2007, using the mobile phone-based information system. Surveillance of the weekly report on morbidity in the earthquake zone after the initiation of the mobile phone reporting system showed the same trend as the previous three years. Conclusion The emergency response mobile phone-based information system for infectious disease reporting was an effective solution to transmit urgently needed reports and manage communicable disease surveillance information. This assured the consistency of disease surveillance and facilitated sensitive, accurate, and timely disease surveillance. It is an important backup for the internet-based direct reporting system for communicable disease.
ObjectiveTo study the effect of PDCA cycle model on the standardization of the application of common disinfectants, in order to promote the management level of hospital disinfection. MethodsBy questionnaire and observation, the study was to learn the knowledge and its application in medical workers on common disinfectants. Based on the results, we tried to regulate effective preventive measures and carry out continuous improvements. ResultAfter the implementation of PDCA cycle model, the awareness rate of the medical staff on disinfection and the application accuracy of disinfectants were significantly increased (P<0.05). ConclusionThe implementation of PDCA cycle model can improve nosocomial infection management level effectively, ensure medical quality management and patients' safety, which is an effective way of management to reduce the rate of nosocomial infection.
